The University of North Texas Chorale was formed in the fall of 2020 to provide an exciting mixed choir experience for students from across the UNT campus. Chorale will perform at the annual UNT ChoralFest!, as well as presenting both fall and spring concerts. Students are not required to audition prior to enrolling, but instead will be placed into appropriate sections after individual voicing takes place during the first week of classes. Chorale was formerly known as the UNT Men’s Chorus.
The UNT choral singing program is comprised of eight ensemble opportunities. In addition to participation in the university choirs, students regularly perform with the choruses of the Dallas Opera, Fort Worth Opera, the Dallas Symphony Chorus, Denton Bach Society, Schola Cantorum of Texas, and the Turtle Creek Chorale. A significant number of our students hold positions in professional choirs in the metroplex, including the Dallas Bach Society, Helios, Orchestra of New Spain, and Orpheus Chamber Singers.
The expansive Margot and Bill Winspear Performance Hall has been recognized as one of the finest concert halls in the world. Extraordinary in both acoustical quality and aesthetic design, 1,025-seat venue hosts musical events ranging from early music to jazz The hall’s acoustics, designed by the internationally renowned Christopher Jaffe, are varied with ten acoustical curtains and three vertically adjustable clouds.…

The Live Streaming Project
The UNT College of Music began live streaming ensemble performances in 2009 for parents, potential students, and distant colleagues while showing the world-renowned music programs at UNT.
Recordings are available to UNT students and faculty for educational use only. Some concerts are available on youtube.
